Data Driven NYC: Matt Turck

Data Driven NYC

Data Driven NYC is a community of techies who are “driven” by Big Data, data technologies and data-driven products and businesses.  It was founded and is organized by Matt Turck: Managing Director at FirstMark Capital, a NYC early stage VC firm.

Data Driven holds monthly meetups with always an impressive line-up: Michael Karasick, VP of Innovation at IBM Watson, Chris Wiggins, Chief Data Scientist at The New York Times, Mike Olson, Co-Founder and Chairman of Cloudera, to name just a few recent ones.

The events usually rsvp’ out quite quickly so make sure it’s on your radar. Almost always organized at the superb Bloomberg offices, with at least 450 RSVP’s (and 400+ on the waiting list!!!), so it’s also about the networking opportunities!

Typical agenda:

5:40pm: General admission opens.
5:45pm: Pre-event networking and drinks start.
6:15pm: Talks start.
8:10pm: Talks end, post event networking starts
9:00pm: Event ends.
